Rugby 2022 game launches featuring All Blacks and The Wallabies

Whatever sport you enjoy, whether it is tennis, soccer, cricket, wrestling, golf, or rugby, it is always great to have a video game version to carry on the gameplay after the match is over.

It’s time to kick-off

In the spring of 2021, gamers and rugby fans learned that Nacon and Eko Software were launching a new version of their highly popular rugby game. Well, the wait is finally over, and the new rugby sim has recently been launched and is available on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox, and PC. So, Rugby Union fans and gamers alike can scrum down for an action-packed sports game.

 What Nacon says

Head of Publishing at Nacon, Benoit Clerc, shared the company’s vision for the game. He said “We want to offer rugby fans the most authentic and complete experience possible. With updated gameplay that has incorporated many improvements based on player feedback on the previous titles and by including official teams and competitions never seen before in a rugby simulation.”

Who is playing?

Both The All Blacks and Wallabies feature in the game. Having these iconic teams officially included in this Rugby Union video game adds to the excitement and makes tournaments feel realistic.  You can choose which tournaments, competitions, and stadiums you want to take part in, like The Six Nations which is being played in Europe in the real world at the moment. Gameplay is available locally or online as either single-player or multiplayer matches. Players can tweak their game plan in play, initiate set moves, and manage their lineouts. The All Blacks are infamously very hard to beat but The Wallabies always put up a tough fight and this age-old competition between the two nations plays out well in the game.

Real World Rugby

The Wallabies were third in the World Rugby rankings back in October after winning a five-test run, then on 6th December 2021, they slipped back to sixth place. Where will they get to this season, and can they beat their neighboring rivals from New Zealand? The All Blacks are the most successful rugby union team of all time with three Rugby World Cups to their name.  South Africa, however, currently holds the highest-ranking with the All Blacks in second place.  The top ten teams are South Africa, New Zealand, England, Ireland, France, Australia, Scotland, Wales, Argentina, and Japan. Which team will be the best bet in 2022?

Betting on the outcome

There are now online sites in Australia which allow you to place a bet on the outcome of a match. For example, some of the casino operators that facilitate online gambling in Australia, like Cloudbet, also offer a sportsbook counterpart. The majority of bets placed on rugby in Australia are on the League version of the game, but you can also place a wager on Rugby Union – maybe even on the outcome of a scrum itself. When placing a bet, it’s a good idea to study previous form and understand that the weather and other factors can influence the results. Being an expert player on a rugby simulation game might help you understand the tactics and opportunities, or it might just be a good way to carry on the excitement of a good match when the final whistle is blown.  It is possible to wager against your fellow player if you are not in single-player mode and if you get good you could even enter yourself in an Esports Rugby Tournament.

Official licenses

In addition to New Zealand, Rugby 22 has official licenses for nearly all famous national teams and features official players and jerseys for France, Fiji, Italy, Ireland, Georgia, Wales, Scotland, and Japan. Rugby 22 offers a real rugby experience. Thanks to motion capture technology, player movements simulate the actual player on the pitch and these realistic animations allow you to be immersed in the game.  In the tutorial mode, total novices can learn the basics of the sport and the gameplay while more experienced gamers can train themselves to be even better player.
