MARRIED life is going from strength to strength for Rita Ora – as I can reveal her hubby Taika Waititi has just splashed out £5million on a lovenest for the pair.
The four-bedroom, three-storey clifftop pad is set on two thirds of an acre, with its own beach access, and is by far the most expensive property in the neighbourhood.
It boasts a swimming pool, veranda, private gardens, large garage, sundeck and stunning views across the bay.
An insider said: “Although Taika and Rita spend a lot of time in the US and the UK, New Zealand is still a huge part of his identity and their lives together.
“So having a place they can call home is really important for him and his family.
“They have already started decorating and buying furniture to fit the space.
“They can’t wait to spend some time there.”
I told last year how the newlyweds enjoyed a romantic honeymoon on the stunning isle of Waiheke, off the coast of Auckland, in a £500-a-night villa.
Telling Vogue about their intimate nuptials, Rita, who owns a £7.5million Grade II-listed London home, said: “It feels like nothing’s changed since the day I met him.
“It just feels so good to be with my best friend.”
Aw, you guys . . .
EMILY: ‘I HAD BREAKDOWNS’
EMILY ATACK has revealed that her brave documentary on sexual harassment caused her to have “several breakdowns”.
In TV show Asking For It?, which aired on BBC Two in January, she opened up about her experience of receiving abuse, and unwanted advances, online.
The actress said of the TV show: “To be honest, it was awful.
“The documentary coming out was a really difficult time for my family.
“There were moments I would say, ‘I don’t think I can face another day of this.’”
Emily added: “I had several breakdowns in the middle of it. It was rough.”
On stage at Stylist Live, she said: “The awful thing about this sort of thing is everybody blames themselves – this is why I called the documentary Asking For It?”
The Inbetweeners star said she has also been made to feel uncomfortable at work.
She added: “I’ve found myself in awful situations, especially on film sets.
“I have had to reshape those events in my head as a coping mechanism and go, ‘Maybe that was my fault, slightly’, if a man in a position of power had abused trust.”
BYKER GROOVE DUO REUNITED
GIRLS ALOUD’S impending reunion appears to have inspired another girl group to get back together.
The pair, who had a 1996 hit with Jellyhead, chatted over a posh lunch at London’s Aqua Shard restaurant.
A source said: “They’re older and wiser now and enjoyed reliving their days on the road per-forming.
“They were joined by some of their old team and floated the idea of performing again – anything is possible.”
Fingers crossed they get it on.
KIM KARDASHIAN’s got some front hitting the town in this revealing outfit.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star flaunted her assets in a corset-style halter-neck dress as she attended American football ace Odell Beckham Jr’s 31st birthday party in New York on Monday.
It follows rumour in People magazine that the SKIMS underwear founder has been “hanging out” with Baltimore Ravens player Odell.
But it seems Kim, who shares four kids with ex Kanye West, is picky when it comes to her partners.
In a new episode of her reality show, The Kardashians, she listed qualities for her “future Mr Perfect” which included “no airing out our dirty laundry”.
Maybe there is a Kardashian and Beckham union on the horizon after all . . .
IDRIS RAPS KNIFE CRIME ON SINGLE
IDRIS ELBA is releasing a rap track to raise money for knife crime charities.
The superstar actor recorded a video in East London this weekend for his song Knife Bill, which sees him take aim at politicians.
Idris has been publicly calling for harsher measures against knife crime after 15-year-old Elianne Andam was stabbed to death in the capital in September.
Posting online, the Hackney-born star said: “It is a shame our country still mourns the deaths of children at the hands of knives.
“We NEED to enforce tougher deterrents and punishments to those carrying weapons.”
Charities that will benefit from Idris’s release include The Ben Kinsella Trust, Lives Not Knives and The Jodie Chesney Foundation.
A spokesman from The Ben Kinsella Trust said: “Idris’s decision to donate to the Trust is a powerful statement about his commitment to tackling knife crime.
“He is a role model for young people, and his support will help us to reach more of them with our message of prevention.”
