The CIPR is looking for volunteers to serve on their Professional Standards Panel – Enable Magazine

You can apply to become a member of the Professional Standards Panel until 27 October 2023. The Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) is welcoming all candidates and encourages anyone with relevant experience to consider applying.

The Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) has extended the application deadline to become a member of their Professional Standards Panel. The panel oversees the institute’s disciplinary process and is looking for new volunteers to serve on it for three years. 

If your application is successful, you will be responsible for investigating complaints against members of the CIPR made under the code of conduct. Adjudication will be carried out in hearings after all other reasonable attempts to resolve a complaint informally have been exhausted. Hearings can take place virtually or in person, and in-person hearings will go ahead in Central London. 

Successful applicants will serve on the panel for three years.

Panel hearings will include a mix of lay and CIPR members appointed for their experience in disciplinary matters. This opportunity is for CIPR Members only; however, you will work alongside non-members (Lay members), who will receive a set day rate. 

The CIPR is committed to building a diverse panel that crosses many experiences to represent their community. They are looking for candidates who can work in a professional environment and process large amounts of detail. Applicants with a regulatory background in a professional setting or with experience serving on another panel are encouraged to apply.
