According to the brand, Emira represents a breakthrough for Lotus. It combines out-of-the-box brand signatures and core values with a paradigm shift in the level of practicality, comfort, functionality and technology.
The car will be developed in a new lightweight combined aluminum chassis, and the 6-cylinder is a Toyota unit supercharged by Lotus and mounted in the middle behind the two seats. Developed 298kW, combined with a 6-speed manual gearbox with visible gear change mechanism and hydraulic power assisted steering.
The car rides on 20-inch ultra-lightweight V-spoke forged alloy wheels with a diamond-cut, premium two-tone finish. Two-piece brake discs with branded calipers are part of the First Edition specification and also include a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
The first edition is available in one of six vibrant paint colors. In addition to Seneca Blue (the shade seen when it goes on sale in July), Magma Red, Hetel Yellow, Dark Birdant, Shadow Gray, and Nimbus Gray. More colors will be available in 2022.
Exterior details include all-round LED lights, a titanium exhaust finisher, heated power fold door mirrors, and a rear parking sensor. A lower black pack is standard equipment. This means that the front bumper air blades, front splitter, side sills and rear diffuser are all finished in gloss black.
There are seven interior colors to choose from, all available at no additional charge. They are red, black, gray and yellowish brown nappa leather and black Alcantara with red, yellow or gray stitching.
Satin chrome trim finishers, white interior mood lighting and Lotus brand silk kick plates complete the premium look.
The heated seat is adjustable in 12 directions and has two memory presets linked to the door mirrors (driver’s seat only). It includes climate control, cruise control, keyless start and selectable drive modes.
Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and satellite navigation (some markets) are integrated into the Emira V6 First Edition and are supported with Bluetooth and USB / 12v sockets. The 10-channel / 340W premium audio system was developed in partnership with the British brand KEF. All features are accessed via a 10.25-inch center-mounted touch screen, and driver feedback is provided via a 12.3-inch TFT instrument cluster in front of the multifunction steering wheel.
In addition, three option packs are standard equipment, for a total of four. With the Driver Pack, you can choose between Tour or Sport Suspension with Goodyear Eagle F1 Super Sport Tires or Sport Suspension with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 Tires.
The design pack adds a choice of privacy glass, sports pedals, black Alcantara headliner and painted brake calipers in black, red, yellow and silver. A Lotus brand footwell mat is also included.
The convenience pack includes a front parking sensor, a rear reverse camera, a rain-sensing wiper with aero blades, an automatic anti-glare mirror, and a rear luggage storage net.
Options available at an additional charge include a $ 3,500 6-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shift and a black pack that colors the roof, cantrail, mirror back, rear lotus badge, and exhaust finisher for $ 2330.
