Test of COVID-19 Widely available throughout New Zealand, anyone with cold or flu symptoms is encouraged to be tested.

You can take the Covid test for free. For 0800 358 5453, you can call Healthline for advice. This is a free service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Symptoms of Covid-19 include new or worsening coughs, fever at least 38 degrees Celsius, shortness of breath, sore throat, sneezing, runny nose, and temporary loss of odor.

Other symptoms include diarrhea, headache, muscle aches, nausea and vomiting, irritability and confusion.

Drive-through and walk-in tests are available at community test centers, pop-up test centers, and general practice clinics nationwide.
