For the second consecutive year, Covid-19 forced the cancellation of the annual street appeal of compassionate meals, exponentially escalating Wellington’s desire for service.

This year, we have been serving 120 years in Wellington and are experiencing the highest sustainable demand in history with Covid-19.

Cancellation of their street appeal is untimely, as compassionate meals rely on donations to continue their mission to support those who need to live with dignity in the community.

Over the past 12 months, soup kitchens have served 31,588 meals in the capital, setting a record for the number of meals served 200 meals a day.
