COVID-19: SkyNews understands that the United States will relax travel rules for vaccinated passengers from the United Kingdom and the EU | World News

Sky News understands that vaccinated passengers will be able to enter the United States from the United Kingdom and the EU after November.

The new rules will be part of a wider range of policy changes regarding international travel.

Previous policies allowed only US citizens, their close relatives, or green card holders to enter the United States from the United Kingdom or the EU.

However, the US government had the authority to grant national interest exemptions so that people could travel.

The United States has also banned travelers who were staying in China, Iran, Brazil, or India 14 days before arriving in China, Iran, Brazil, South Africa, or India.

Those traveling outside these areas had to apply for a Visa or Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) visa exemption in order to enter or pass through the United States as a visitor.
