When your child doesn’t eat lunch

(HealthDay News)-Don’t be disappointed if you pack a healthy lunch for your child and come back uneaten.

Academy Nutrition Dietetics suggests:

  • Ask your child what he wants to eat for lunch. Children are more likely to eat it. Shop together at the grocery store and choose attractive and healthy foods.
  • Pack an easy-to-eat bite-sized lunch that your child can eat during a short lunch time.
  • Make sure your child can open the lunch box at home. These containers can be difficult for children to open.
  • Be careful not to overfill the food. Pay attention to how much your child eats at home.
