Kiwi NBA star Steven Adams can have a new team.
ESPN’s Adrian Voinaroski reports that New Zealanders will be traded from New Orleans Pelicans to Memphis Grizzlies.
This will link the 6’11 center with the 2020 Rookie of the Year Ja Morant.
Adams joined the Pelican last year after spending his first seven years at the NBA at Oklahoma City Thunder, which drafted in 2013.
New Orleans set a 31-41 record last season outside the playoffs. Looking back on the seasons, Adams called himself “self-weight.”
Since the recent campaign at Oklahoma City Thunder, Adams’ field goal attempts have diminished, with the lowest average points per game (7.6) since the 2013-14 rookie season (3.3) and the total number of rebounds. ..
His latest contract, once the biggest contracted player in Oklahoma City, will reduce him from $ 27.5 million to $ 17 million next season.
