When the buggy rolled into the water, their grandmother jumped into the water herself, but she couldn’t get it back to the surface.

When my grandmother shouted for help, the boys sank under the water in Stain’s Apontems, Surrey.

According to police, a man jumped dramatically to pull the buggy out of the water, and another man named Paul rushed to pull the children up a steep riverbank and take them to a safe place.

Paul, who is already grateful for his life-saving actions on Sunday, July 18, soon found a blanket to keep his children warm.

However, the family is still looking for other heroes who helped the rescue first.

Sally police say the “almost tragic incident” by Causeway happened when the buggy brakes weren’t applied properly “completely by chance” during a family walk.

According to police, police officers said they were in good health at home now, attending with paramedics who took both children to the hospital and were examined.

“A decent tragic accident”

A Sally Police spokesman said:

“A woman took her two grandchildren, aged 1 and 2, to take a walk to the Thames.

“They were tied to a buggy, and while on the riverbank, completely accidentally, the buggy began to roll because the brakes weren’t applied properly. The buggy fell into the river and submerged both boys.

“Soon, the woman screamed for help and jumped into the water, trying to bring the buggy to the surface, but struggled because of the depth and steep banks.

“Several emergency service calls were made, a nearby man took action and went into the water to help a woman with a buggy.

“The second man who heard the scream immediately rushed to the scene, helped pull the buggy up the riverbank, and pulled his two children out of the water.

“Paul quickly found a blanket to keep the kids warm and dry before we arrived.

“Both children were taken to the hospital, but now they are back home and healthy.

“The family is very grateful to both men for their quick response and heroic efforts.

“The family is in contact with Paul, but I also thank the first man who jumped into the water. If you helped, send us a private message and quote ref45210076472 to contact you. please.”
