Investigation launched after Bryndwr’s death

Police are investigating the incident in Christchurch’s Bryndwr this evening that left one person dead and another injured.

At approximately 6:20 p.m., emergency services were called to an address in Eden Place.

Upon arrival, one person was found dead.

Another was taken to hospital in critical condition.

Police are currently working to establish the circumstances of what happened.

An inspection will be conducted at the facility this evening, and scene guards will be in place for the night.
