Police have now located the girls, aged 8 and 10, who were reported missing.

Thanks to information from the public, the girls were spotted at an address in Henderson, Auckland some time ago.

The girls are safe and returned to their families who are greatly relieved by this news.

People at the address where they were found are cooperating with the police investigation.

I am very happy that the girls are safe and well. This is an example of community and police working together, and we really appreciate the help of the public in locating the girls.

The investigation is ongoing and we are unable to comment further at this time.
