Lloyd plunged into the main name of the council.
Baron Sedwill of Sherborne, Mark Sedwill, took on the role previously played by Andy Haste and served as Senior Independent Director and Vice Chairman.
“Lloyds is a world-class UK institution that is essential to the future of the city and UK financial services,” he said. “I am honored to be invited to contribute to that future and look forward to joining the team.”
The appointment of Sedville has been approved by the Prime Minister and continues to require approval from the Prudential Regulation Authority and the Financial Conduct Authority. Meanwhile, Haste thanked President Bruce Carnegie Brown for his “great contribution” over the past nine years.
“We are pleased that Mark has agreed to join the Lloyd Council as a non-executive and senior independent director,” Carnegie Brown added. “One of the most respected figures in modern British diplomacy and former head of British civil servants, Mark gives Lloyd a unique and independent perspective when serving against strategic priorities. His leadership in initiatives in the areas of governance, risk management, ESG and business transformation makes him the best choice for this role. “
