The works in this series range from the bequest of RW Lloyd to the British Museum. The conditions of Robert Wiley Lloyd’s bequest to the British Museum stipulated that paintings could only be shown for the two weeks of February or, upon special request, and should never be rented. As a result, they are rarely exhibited, and most of the paintings are as vibrant, clear and attractive as the days Turner painted.
