Han has just reunited with his Tokyo Drift car during Fast X movies, and it’s like no time has passed

Besides Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto came to an end, The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift followed by a brand new lineup of characters. In the 2006 film, Lucas saw Black’s Sean Boswell live with his father in the Japanese capital, and he soon found himself mentored by Han Lue of Sung Kang. Han’s choice of choice in the third Fast & Furious film was an orange 1997 Mazda RX-7 FD, and Kang is now reunited with that sweet ride while filming Fast Xalthough it does not feel like no time is over.
Tokyo Drift made in the last half of 2005, which means that more than a quarter of a decade has passed between then and production on Fast Xthe 10th entrance in the main Fast & Furious film series, and 11th overall counts the Hobbs & Shaw spinoff. You can see the side-by-side photos below that Sung Kang shared Instagramshows the actor next to the car while working on Tokyo Drift compared to now in the middle of Fast X to be compiled:
Talk about aging gracefully! Sung Kang looks basically like he did in Tokyo Drift, although there are almost two full decades of time between when those photos were taken. More importantly, Kang was happy to be reunited with Han’s Mazda from the Tokyo Drift days, which also still looks mortal in her older age. It’s doubted that this car was just released for a photoshoot, so I’m jealous to see what Han is doing behind the wheel in Fast X.
Although Tokyo Drift showed apparently facing a furious death, thanks to the Fast & Furious franchise is turning back the clock, we need to spend more time with him Fast & Furious, Fast Five en Fast & Furious 6. Then the last movie’s end credits scene, as well as the main events of Furious 7, Revisited Han’s Assumed Death, and shows that Jason Statham’s Deckard Shaw intentionally crashed into him. However, it was public in F9 that Han’s death was fake by Kurt Russell’s Mr. Nobody, and spent the following years in hiding protecting Anne Sawai’s Elle. Fortunately, now Han is reunited with his found family and replaced a life of racing, causing explosions and saving the world.
Story details are still kept secret Fast Xwhich would originally be directed by Justin Lin, but he left one week in production and was replaced by The Incredible HulkLouis Leterrier. Among the famous faces who will return alongside Sung Kang and Han Lue are Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Charlize Theron, Michael Rooker, Scott Eastwood, Cardi B and Jason Statham. A confrontation between Deckard Shaw and Han Lue was plagued in F9‘s mid-credits scene, but since Han is still alive and Deckard is no longer an antagonist, these two can hopefully reach an understanding. As before Fast XThe newcomers include Jason Momoa as one of the villains, Daniela Melchior, Brie Larson, Alan Ritchson and Rita Moreno as the grandmother of Dom, Mia and Jakob Toretto.
Fast X races in theaters on May 19, 2023, and us 2023 release schedule is now available to see if you are interested in the other films to come next year.
