Gusto announces more than 250 technical positions
Leading recipe box provider Gousto Announced that it will create at least 250 full-time, high-tech jobs in London by the end of 2022.
Tech Unicorn has doubled its technical team each year since 2019, boasting nearly 500 engineers across artificial intelligence, software engineering, data science and design.
This technology investment and increased attention to data and AI will further accelerate the company’s position as a global market leader in meal time choices while improving the level of customer personalization.
Today, more than half (54%) of Gousto’s orders are delivered by AI via Gousto’s proprietary recommendation engine. This is the best since its conception.
Accelerate leadership in choice
This announcement will be made when Gousto has increased and expanded its weekly recipe options from 50 to 60. We serve more than 3,000 meals from 44 regions around the world, including savory Thai green shrimp noodle soup and meat-free minced keema naan and cucumber writer. Customers can also customize their recipes, resulting in over 370,000 potential box combinations per week.

This year, recipes tagged “new” in the Gousto menu proved to be 66% more popular than existing recipes.
Leveraging the leadership of choice and meeting the needs of British people who hesitate to travel, Gousto launches “Flavourlust” in the capital. Earlier this year, Goousto announced that it had achieved its first full-year profitability since its launch, with record sales in 2020 of £ 189m, up 129%. This strong growth, which lasted until 2021, sold more than 25 million meals in the first quarter alone. This means that less than 1% of food is wasted in facilities, compared to about 20% in supermarket supply chains. The exact amount also means that there is almost zero household waste. For each Gousto order, you can save 2 kg of food waste and 7 kg of CO2 emissions compared to similar supermarket stores.
