In automotive terms, it’s a facelift – but the revisions to Kia’s smallest sports car are realistically more of a rear workstation, as there’s easily been as much change in the rear as in the front.
Revisions just unveiled in South Korea will be shown in this part of the world later this year, assuming the schedule for Australia also applies here. The countries often share common stock, but there is no comment from Kia New Zealand.
The styling changes take place as the car marks its third year of sales since launch. The car features a new front bumper, grille, LED headlights with daytime running lights and, of course, updated to the latest Kia emblem.
As mentioned, the rear has changed more. It now has T-shaped taillights that run horizontally across the boot lid, and the lower bumper has also been redesigned with a more prominent silver bash plate and fog lamps.
Other exterior changes include a set of 18-inch alloy wheels with a new look, similar to the design of other Kia SUVs.
