“Within 24 hours, an assistant teacher died, her school teacher died, an elementary school teacher died, and another high school teacher died,” said Anna Fusco, president of the Broward Teachers Union. CBS News..

The deaths were announced days after the Broward County Board of Education opposed the ban on Governor Rondesantis’ mask mandate at the school, which came into effect on July 30.

Mr Fusco said the news of the teacher’s death was “very scary” but too common. “I hear this every day, whether it’s Broward or elsewhere,” she said.

Schools across the country said they were grateful for the Broward County Board of Education’s decision as students were preparing to fill the hall again.

“I was a little relieved to keep the mask protocol, hand sanitizer, and additional disinfectant,” she said.
