Dyson V15 – with laser!

The laser-powered shark looks very successful as Dyson finally dropped the V15 Detect Total Clean into the unsuspecting market. It’s a laser-equipped vacuum cleaner and comes from Dyson, so there’s little doubt that it’s a good thing. But the one million dollar question is this: can the laser crush the dust rabbit? And Cylon?

I have reviewed several Dyson vaccines in the past. It’s no exaggeration to say that V15 Detect Total Clean must be one of the most annoying things I’ve tested. (By the way, that’s a good thing when it comes to vacuum cleaners). Dyson has long produced vaccines with the exceptional ability to lift dust and scrape it off the floor and other surfaces. But how do they improve their already ridiculously good vacuum cleaners?

Their answer comes in the form of some quirky yet surprisingly useful features. These range from fluffy cleaning heads with built-in lasers to new anti-tangling brush heads and the ability to notify you what kind of dust is being vacuumed.

When Dyson unveiled the laser cleaning head, we must admit in advance that we thought it was a gimmick. The dust was noticeable and I wanted to mop it after vacuuming, but it highlighted where the dust on the floor was. So the dust rabbits are not vaporized by the laser, but they have become hamburgers.

If the laser isn’t enough, Dyson’s engineering team has decided that it should tell you what kind of dust this model is picking up. Incredibly, dust falls into four categories: pollen, microscopic dust, skin flakes / mites, and fine particles. The V15 screen shows the vacuum / battery time, but also how much dust in each category is floating.

As you would expect from Dyson, the technology to do this job is original. The piezo microphone system listens for dust that affects the cleaning bin. Then you can use AI smart to know the size of each bit of dust. If you are suffering from allergies or hay fever, this feature alone makes V15 an absolute blessing. At a glance, you can see the dust particles decrease as you vacuum. In other words, you can see how many times you will pass through that area until it is dust-free.

My long-suffering wife loves it because the floor works well when I review the vacuum cleaner. That said, when it comes to vacuuming, I’m generally a little lazy guy. However, thanks to the V15’s laser and particle measurement capabilities, the situation has improved. Thanks to these, I’ve noticed more vacuuming, and when I do, it’s done more thoroughly.

For pets and my wife, a common annoyance is that a vacuum cleaner with a rotating brush cleaning head picks up their hair / fur. This may not sound like a big deal, but over time, the spinning brush will look more like a captain’s caveman and become less efficient. This requires a tedious hair / fur removal process. However, the anti-tangling brush cleaning head was able to clean the wooden floor deep enough, as well as the many floor coverings scattered around the house. Best of all, there is no flatulence about removing hair and fur.

So are these new bells and whistles just a gimmick or really useful? Aside from the fact that laser-equipped vacuum cleaners are much cooler than broken laser-equipped sharks, the great features of the V15 make it insanely convenient. While testing it, I felt a little shocked about how much it was inhaled. Knowing where the dust is and what kind of dust it handles was also much more helpful than I initially thought. Add a hair tangled solution, and there are a lot of things I like about V15.

The functionality of the fancy pants is also not brought at the expense of what sets Dyson apart from the pack. The V15 is still balanced so it’s not a burden to vacuum. There are still HEPA filters that keep dust and allergens out during cleaning. Like its oversized brother V11 oversizedAlso, it has a removable battery. This means that you can replace the battery to extend the V15’s run time. When the battery is drained, there is no need to put a vacuum in the bottle. Dyson uses three power modes (eco, auto and boost) to maximize battery life. Eco has less suction, but it consumes the least battery. The suction strength is automatically adjusted according to the type of surface to be vacuumed. Boost provides enough suction to lift large lugs (but at the expense of battery life).

Last but not least, it’s at least an LCD screen. Not only is the dust picked up, but it also shows the remaining usage time before the battery needs to be charged / replaced.

If that’s not enough, the entire shebang comes in an eco-friendly cardboard package and contains an incredible number of accessories. These include laser heads and anti-tangling heads, as well as small brush heads that are difficult to reach the spot and vacuum the car. There is also a wall mount that allows you to charge the V15 out of the way.

I have a lot of things I like, but there is one small pitfall. price. That’s a budget that hurt $ 1499. That said, the V15 Detect Total Clean will probably last longer than its owner and will be the only vacuum cleaner you need. What’s more, it has a laser, so what don’t you like?
