Capgemini has promoted Australia and New Zealand head Olaf Pietchner to Asia Pacific boss as part of a global remodeling.
Pietschner holds the title of CEO of the Asia Pacific Strategic Business Unit and joins the Global Executive Leadership Team.
Pietschner will continue to oversee A / NZ as part of his new role and will replace Luc-Francois Salvador, former Head of Capgemini APAC.
Originally from Germany, Pietschner first participated in Capgemini Central Europe for two years from 2002 to 2004 and returned as Chief Operating Officer in 2017.
A year later, he was promoted to Managing Director and replaced Nicholas Aidudo, the retiring Transtusman leader.
Pietschner has previously served as an executive at Origin Energy and News Corporation, leveraging more than 25 years of industry experience.
As part of its global restructuring, Capgemini is now creating strategic business units around the world and inviting its leaders to the global executive committee.
The unit includes APAC as well as global business, innovation and sales in Northern Europe, Southern Europe, Engineering and R & D.
Aiman Ezzat, CEO of Capgemini Group, said: “We are pleased to welcome such a strong and talented executive from the entire group to our leadership team.
“Each newly appointed executive announced today will bring a range of outstanding achievements and extensive experience to their position, which will greatly benefit clients, team members, and the entire group.”
Last year, a French system integrator signed an agreement to acquire Australian consultancy RXP Services for a transaction worth approximately $ 95.5 million.
As a result, RXP will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Capgemini Australia.
