Biden travels to Buffalo to meet victims’ families

Good morning and welcome to Tuesday US policy to blog.

Joe Biden is on the way to Buffalo, New Yorkto meet families of Saturday’s victims Racist attack on a grocery store which claimed 10 lives.

The President has described the mass shooting by an allegedly radicalized white supremacist as “terrorism motivated by a hateful and perverse ideology”. Him and First Lady Jill Biden will meet victims’ families, local officials and first responders this morning and make comments at noon.

Meanwhile, Congressional Democrats are resuming efforts to pass it anti-terror law in the wake of buffalo shooting and other recent hate crimes. The law would give the Justice Department more tools to specifically tackle white supremacy.
