Police investigating the murder of Lena Chan Harap have newly sued witnesses of a vehicle used by her murder suspect.
Lena Chan Harap, 27, was found dead on Mount Albert on Wednesday.
Police have said that the investigation into the Albert Mountain scene related to the murder is almost complete.
Yesterday, a 31-year-old woman was arrested in connection with her death and appeared in the Auckland District Court, charged with illegal sexual relations and murder.
He was detained to reappear on Wednesday, October 13.
Police are not looking for anyone else regarding Zhang’s death, but they are suing information and sightings of the vehicle used by the accused.
Detective Aaron Pasco says they continue to stitch together criminal events with the help of citizens.
“Thanks to everyone who contacted us to provide us with information,” he said.
“Police are still looking for sightings of the vehicle used by the suspect, a registered EGZ962 white 2004 Hyundai station wagon.”
“This vehicle has a distinctive brown tape around the left rear window.
“We once again condolence to Lena’s family and repeat their plea for privacy during this difficult time.”
