Whangarei Murder Victim Names, Suspect Not Arrested Yet
The name of the victim in the Whangarei murder has been revealed, and police are warning of speculation on social media about the case.
Shaden Parkinson, 25, of Laumanga, a suburb of Whangarei, was murdered on Saturday.
The victim was reportedly assaulted by the group In an argument near a gas station It’s Saturday night and police are still investigating.
Detective Dean Begby, Northland District Crime Manager, said in a statement: “We are aware of the speculation online as to what happened and who was responsible.
“We continue to urge the public to be careful about what is being shared so as not to jeopardize police investigations.
“No arrests have been made at this stage, but further updates will be provided as they become available.”
