Two people were injured when two cars collided in Palmerston North.
Emergency services were called to the Milson Line shortly after 8 p.m. after receiving a report of the crash, said Karen McDonald, shift manager for the Fire and Emergency Center.
No one was trapped, but the road was closed and cleared while firefighters patrolled the scene, a police spokesman said.
One suffered minor injuries, while the other was taken to Palmerston North Hospital with moderate to severe injuries.
Roads were reopened by 9:30pm.
