New Information on Hawke’s Bay Murders Featured in Cold Case
Attributed to Senior Sergeant James Keane of Hawke’s Bay CIB
Hawke’s Bay Police, which is investigating the 2018 murder of Hastings man Eddie Peters, is urging people to watch tomorrow night’s episode of Cold Case TV when new information will be revealed.
Peters, 45, was found collapsed and bleeding in the driveway of his family’s home on Diaz Drive in Fraxmire on the evening of Thursday, November 15, 2018. He was severely beaten and died eight days later in Wellington Hospital.

“We know Eddie left there around 11:30 pm. He was attacked by one or more people further along Diaz Drive. There are no explanations as to why this happened. It’s not entirely clear why, but we need people to speak up and tell us what they know and who was involved.
“There are people who have information and may know what happened but are hesitant to talk to us. This was a serious assault that led to the death of a man. Eddy. Whanau continues to grieve for his beloved father and friends.
