Have a happy and safe New Year

Police are encouraging people celebrating New Year’s Eve to have fun, but be sensible and take care of their fellows so they can all get home safely.

Tonight, police will have a strong presence in traditional holiday hotspots across the country, focusing on prevention and helping those celebrating to stay safe.

We all have a responsibility to keep our friends and loved ones safe this summer.

If you feel unsafe or have concerns about unsafe, illegal, or suspicious activity, call the police on 111.
