England all-rounder Will Jacks withdraws thigh injury for remainder of Bangladesh tour
Dhaka [Bangladesh]5 March (ANI): England all-rounder Will Jacks has been sidelined for the remainder of the Bangladesh tour after suffering a left thigh injury.
Jax made his ODI debut on tour, playing in the first two ODIs. According to the ICC, he scored 27 runs and picked wicket in two encounters before injuring his thigh.
The Surrey player made his first international appearance in the 2022/23 season. He made his T20I debut against Pakistan in September before competing in his series Test against the same team in December.
During his Test debut, the Jax impressed with Rawalpindi’s very flat side, picking off 6/161 in the first innings. England went on to win the game by 74 runs.
He was part of the test team with New Zealand and the Limited Overs team with Bangladesh.
England are leading 2-0 in the three-game ODI series. England won his first ODI by three wickets thanks to his century from Dawid Maran (114). In his second ODI, Jason Roy (132) and skipper Jos Butler (76) helped England score his 326/7, while Bangladesh missed the win by his 132 runs.
The third ODI will take place on March 6, 2023. Also, from March 9th onwards, this tour will feature his three T20Is. (Ani)
