Closed, SH20 (South Western Motorway) – Manukau County

Emergency services responded to a single vehicle collision on Highway 20 in Mangere at approximately 3:20 am this morning.

One person died in a serious accident on a highway and one person was arrested in connection with it.

The road is closed at the Puhinui and SH20B entrance ramps and at the Roscommon Road and Cavendish Drive entrance ramps.

Note that this means traveling to the airport via SH20B (Phinui Road). From now on, Papatoetoe and him will be via SH20A.

These diversions take place for some time while the scene is explored.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes if possible.
