Adidas ends partnership with Kanye West US News

Adidas has ended its partnership with Kanye West, citing “unacceptable, hateful and dangerous” anti-Semitic posts posted by Kanye West on social media.

In a statement, the German sportswear company said it had taken the decision to “immediately terminate its partnership with Yeh.”

The company said, “Adidas does not tolerate anti-Semitism or other hate speech. Ye’s recent comments and actions are unacceptable, hateful and dangerous. It violates the company’s values ​​of fairness.”

Adidas is the latest in a string of companies severed with the rapper about his offensive posts on social media.

The 45-year-old, who legally changed his name to Ye last year, said he was going for a “death scam 3” against Jews, and recently suggested slavery was one of his options.

Adidas also said it would end production of Yeezy-branded products and stop all payments to Ye and his company.

The company has come under pressure to cut ties with West following West’s remarks, with celebrities and others on social media urging Adidas to take action.
